Smokey Point Boulevard/188th Street Roundabout Construction Project: Road Closure to Begin February 2nd

The contractor completed saw cutting this week in anticipation of the road closure scheduled to begin on Monday, February 2nd, for the Smokey Point Boulevard and 188th Street Roundabout project. Smokey Point Boulevard will be closed north of 188th Street to the 19100 block of Smokey Point Boulevard. This road closure is expected to last 3 to 4 weeks from the start date.

The contractor will begin at the northern project limits and move south to the 188th Street intersection. Construction is scheduled to occur Monday through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and will include mobilization, traffic control setup, and installation of the new 18-inch sewer main.

Beginning Monday, please use the designated detour route when traveling in this area. Local and business access will be allowed at all times during this phase; however, please expect delays if traveling in the work area. No through traffic will be permitted. The designated detour route is not a truck route, so all trucks must use alternate designated truck routes during construction.
