Naturally Twisted DFW - Our son is 10, and I started his locs at 7 years old using the braid / twist method. It worked best because he's super tender headed.

I retie every 3-4 months , retwist in between, and maintain his hair exactly how I do my clients because kids’ locs deserve the same care.

“Parents—would you start locs this young, or wait? I’m curious.”
