Before I ever decide to move again, I wanted to give y’all a little peek into my own private hair sanctuary aka club HBT (Hair by Tho) as some of my regulars would say 😅

As some of y’all know, my career reached a pivotal moment beginning of this year - I became my own boss. The doors of the salon I was working at were closing; so I gave myself only 2 weeks to be up and running on my own. I was overwhelmed and nervous with all the sudden changes but my clients, friends, and family gave me the push to keep going.. my wife, Anno Pham, made this all come together within those 2 weeks with many restless nights on both ends to find everything I needed to be operational. I am forever thankful for the amazing support I have from you all 🙏🏼

As of 2.5 months ago, this suite marked a brand new beginning for me. I truly take pride in everything I have accomplished here so far.. & a BIG THANKS to the clients who booked out for the whole year!!! Wow - It’s been a while 😅 I’ve been quite busy thanks to you all for the outpouring love and support of my new business venture 🙏🏼 I would not have gotten this far without you guys.
With that being said, here’s a peek of one of my recent work! It’s been a while since I’ve worked with vivid color; and I felt the end result was definitely worth all of the time it took to create it 😅

𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞 🥶 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧!!

Client had 3years of new growth and was looking for something new, refreshing, and 𝒷𝓁𝓊ℯ. So, this is what I did!

To get this look, I took thin slice panels to hilight & pre-lift her hair w/ Moroccanoil Blonde Voyage - Started off with 6vol & ended with 30vol as I worked my way up.
Root shadowed w/ L’Oréal DiaRichess 4N 6vol on shampooed & towel dried hair.
Toned w/ PulpRiot in “Nightfall” for desired color on shampooed & towel dried hair.
Finished w/ a cut to give her medium length w/ soft textured, butterfly layers.

My client had overprocessed, uneven tones throughout her hair. She wanted dimensional, ashy, neutral tones while enhancing her “money piece”. So what I did was weaved thin panels in her front hairline and throughout the top of her head to brighten her “lived in” ombré pieces. I matched her natural base level throughout her lower half of her head and only pulled halfway on her upper half to create more multi-dimensional color and to fill in any uneven tones. Here is the formulations I used:

Hilight: 15-20vol (Guy Tang’s Magnum8 lightener)
Tint: 5N (L’Oréal : DiaLight) + 5G (L’Oréal: Majirel) 9vol
Roots: 5N (Redken SEQ)
Ends: 7N + 7VB (Redken SEQ)

After I shampooed her hair, I followed up with Extreme CAT Anti-Damage Protein Reconstructing Rinse Out Treatment | For Distressed Hair | Strengthens Hair & Adds Shine
