Water lilies may be beautiful, but they bring so much more to a pond than a pretty pop of color.
Their broad leaves create ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐๐ž ๐š๐œ๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฐ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ซ, helping keep the pond cooler during hot summer days. That shade can also help limit sunlight available to algae, while giving fish a comfortable place to retreat beneath the surface.
