Hello everyone! Please welcome Madison to Salon Hamlin as my newest assistant. Madison has been working here for about a month now and is excited to continue her career with Salon Hamlin. Madison attended Paul Mitchell Cosmetology school in Tysons and is now working towards taking her state board to fully complete her cosmetology licensing. Madison also took a makeup course and a lash extension course and she will be studying and practicing those further to hopefully offer those services in the future. Madison will be helping out with scheduling, shampooing, toning and more while she’s learning the craft of hair styling. She is looking forward to meeting all of you.

For those of you that have been following my progress….I FINALLY DID IT!! I am a certified Balayage Master. Did it take a little longer than I wanted? Yes!!! Was it worth completing the program? Absolutely!!! Some people might think that this doesn’t “mean” anything, some people might not even know what it is…that’s ok. I do! I know how much time it took, I know what an accomplishment it is, I know that I just achieved a goal that I set for myself, I know how important it is to have continued education to be successful. I am super proud and excited to bring what I learned behind the chair. A huge Thank You to .weeden and for creating this program.

One thing that I love about my career is the evolving education. Trends change, styles change, and techniques change which means education is so important. To be a successful stylist you need to stay up to date on all the latest tips and tricks of the industry, that’s why I decided to get my Masters of Balayage Certification. This is a 90 day online training course, I’m currently in week 3. I couldn’t be more excited to share the journey and progress with you all.

Faulty equipment

Sharing again since SalonPro Equipment deleted my poor review. Literally started smoking 1year and 12 days after is was shipped to me. My client was under the dryer. Salon Pro refuses to fix without charging me because it’s out of warranty.

Faulty equipment This dryer started smoking 1year and 12 days after it was delivered to me. (I have video). Salon Pro wants me to pay $359 to repair it and I have to pay to ship it back, in the original box mind you. I purchased this through the company to ensure if anything went wrong they would fix or replace it.....

Covid-19 Update:

Masks are still required to enter the building, for Now. If you are 2 weeks past your first dose of J&J, OR your second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, you no longer have to wear a mask to receive services. Guest safety and comfort is my number one priority; I will be happy to wear a mask if requested.

Virginia’s distance restrictions are now lifted, because of this I will be implementing Pre-Covid Booking. Meaning there is a possibility for more than one client in the suite at a time. If you still require a personal appointment please let me know before scheduling. There will be an additional service charge for a private appointment.

As always, if you're sick or have COVID-19 symptoms please reschedule your appointment. Contactless check in and check out is still available. Sanitation between guests will still be implemented.
