Samantha, now enrolled in college, has been a client since middle school. For years now we have always cut her gorgeous length off about once a year, donating to organizations to make wigs for cancer patients.

The earlier the better to lay a solid foundation and empowering positive self esteem, young girls shouldn’t grow up with negative self dialogue about their appearance.
I have changed a few words and my approach, the rewards are amazing, for me and my clients.

Mila’s mom wanted help and more knowledge about maintaining those beautiful curls. I shaped her length and added some layers to encourage and lighten the weight off the top curls. The cuteness over load made my week, she was back in the salon yesterday for a follow up visit for refresh and didn’t disappoint on showing her sense of humor and sweet character.

With the death of my MIL in January and the death of my second oldest sister last week the weight of the world has been very heavy lately. This pic is perfect for how my emotions seem to coming, in waves.
While life continues on, know that the Lord your God is with you, will never leave you, and you never have to go through what life throws your way alone. Those emotions, feelings, heaviness, confusion will all pass in time. As crazy as this sounds, it’s a beautiful thing to feel, feelings. I have this belief that when you are with someone dying, it’s the closest we the living get to God and heaven.
