We went with a classic French bridal manicure, but the little white bow added that adorable “Zahra” touch 😘 🎀 Fun fact: those artificial nails are Salah-friendly - meaning there’s tabs that you stick to your nail to put your nails on top of, then take the nails off when it’s time to pray! A little bit about me: My name is Bisma, I'm 23 years old, and I live in the DMV. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English (Writing & Rhetoric), after which I briefly worked as a middle-grades English teacher. I am currently in the process of applying to graduate programs to continue my studies 🤓

l've had a passion for makeup since I was 11 years old. I would spend hours every single day watching YouTube MUAs and beauty gurus like Michelle Phan and Huda Kattan (e in a way, you could say l'm "self-taught" but honestly, these girls on YouTube raised me ☝🏽

In high school, I was the lead makeup artist for practically every show put on by my theatre troupe in high school. I did makeup freelancing for a bit - then COVID hit. Toward the beginning of the pandemic, I was working at a standalone store in my hometown, which further advanced my passion for beauty. TikTok also contributed to my sudden rise in beauty knowledge!

I'm currently an Ulta Beauty Consultant in the DMV. While I work within the beauty environment all day, providing excellent guest service like color/shade matches, product recommendations, application tips, routine curation, etc, I haven't had the chance to play artist and have someone sit in the chair and allow me to work my magic with my makeup brushes in QUITE A WHILE 🎨

That was until recently, when my amazing friend Zahra trusted me with doing her makeup for her Baat Pakki engagement. I felt like I was in my element being the artist. Helping people feel their most beautiful and being a small, supportive part of their special day is an indescribable feeling. Despite the fact that we were in a time crunch, her makeup turned out absolutely stunning mA - so much so that Zahra has asked me to be MUA for her other events, iA!

This inspired me to start this page and start freelancing again! So, without further ado, welcome to Bisma's Beauty Bar 💐
