“Do I smell 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝑒𝓈𝒾𝒶? If I see freesia anywhere, I will be 𝓋𝑒𝓇𝓎 disappointed.” 😏 Except not, because freesia smells lovely. They are native to the eastern side of South Africa, last a long time as cut flowers, and symbolize “trust”. My first job was working in a flower shop, so drawing and studying botanicals has been really nostalgic for me. This one is pencil on hot-pressed watercolor paper. Will def be doing tons and tons of fleurs when I start to tattoo! And thank you again for your support the other day, you did a big warm to my ❤️

A tattoo apprenticeship?! I’m freakin out man! 🙀 It still doesn’t feel real yet, but I’m so incredibly excited and grateful for the opportunity to learn this art form!!

🥀 Never in a million lifetimes did I think I would be on this tattooing journey, but in a way my whole career path has pointed in this direction even though I wasn’t consciously aware of it. In a nutshell, it’s gone like this: Advertising -> Esthetician -> Cosmetic Tattooing -> Tattoo Artist

🥀 Cosmetic tattooing has been *the absolute scariest* thing I’ve ever done. But after some practice, it became second nature, like I was meant to work with needles and skin. It’s been amazing, but I crave more so I sought a tattoo apprenticeship (which is a whole thing in itself that I will talk about later).

🥀Anyway, the landscape of this account will likely morph a bit; you’re going to be seeing a lot more art, smiles, probably tears (hah), and peaks behind the curtain as I embark on this never-ending journey.

Naturally, her left brow sat *at least* 1cm above the right one, but with some serious mapping I managed to even them out (and without removing a single natural hair!). Almost broke a sweat on these but in the end it turned out fine. Sometimes it can be more challenging to believe in yourself, but when you do magic happens. ✨
