I hope this finds you safe and well. My family and I are doing fine. We don't have power or cell service. We had to drive a bit so I could post. South Asheville took a lot of damage from the storm. We have downed trees and power lines.
I do not have a timeline as far as getting back into the salon. Once I do, I'll be in touch.
Please ignore any emails about missing your appt. They are automated and I didn't have enough service to turn them off.
Please stay safe and take care.
Thank you!
Tricia

It's been a busy day and I've finally had some time to sit and reflect on the last 13 years.
"Open a salon!" They said. "It'll be fun!" They said.
And it has been!
Owning a business is wonderful, difficult, rewarding, discouraging, full of love, laughter, and sometimes blood, sweat, and tears.
I find myself thinking of how I've grown as a person.
Starting from scratch, with no management or leadership skills (my apologies to my earlier team members🤦🏼♀️).
I'm grateful for each and every person that trusted me to take care of them. Thank you to each team member that educated me and pushed me to grow.
I think about our Salon Family. How lucky we are that you continue to walk through our door.
Whether or not you still come to Asheville Hair Design, you are still a part of this amazing journey, and I am grateful for you.
(The door is always open!😘)
There's been so much change in the last year, and while I miss having my team around me, I'm content with the decisions I've made.
Don't be afraid to say "When." The only constant in life is that things always change...
Don't be afraid to embrace your fear of changing your trajectory...
Don't be afraid to put yourself first...
(I'm still working on all of these things...)
Happy 13th birthday, Asheville Hair Design!
I'm proud of you! (And of me!)

Hello everyone, from what you’ve read from the newsletter you already know what I’m going to be talking about. Yes, I am taking a break and temporarily leaving the hair industry. However, because I have such deep respect for every single one of my clients, I want to clarify what exactly is going on.
For starters, no, there’s not a single one of you that is the reason for my break. If anything, you guys are the reason why it’s been taking me this long to decide. I see you all more than my own family and the thought of not seeing you guys every 4 weeks, 8 weeks, etc; has taken a toll on my heart. I miss you guys already even before the break has happened. The stress of my financial situations and my mental health has been pushed to the back because I loved every one of you. The laughs, frustrations- everything. I didn’t care if it was a bad day, each of you made every second worth it.
In the meantime, during my break, I will be at Sierra Nevada Brewery, helping in BOH until I can get back on my feet. Each day as I’m scrubbing a dirty dish, remembering all of your stories, laughs, and souls will keep me going. I will be taking hair classes in the meantime whenever I can so that I don’t get rusty. Hopefully, I plan to come back in six to twelve months. I will not be upset if you don’t come back to me because I just want every one of you to be happy.
If you love the nerdy, attentive, and caring attitude I have, I recommend both Tricia or Ace to do your hair. They will have all my notes and formulas of how I did your hair. Not only that, but they have been the most inspiring people in my life and I wouldn’t trust people as amazing as you to any better stylist. I want to express my sincere gratitude for the memorable moments we've shared, and I wish each one of you the very best in the upcoming season. I'll miss you all and look forward to the possibility of reconnecting in the future!
With Love,
-Alisha Rhom
Dear Salon Family,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share some significant updates regarding Asheville Hair Design that I believe you'll find both exciting and bittersweet.
Firstly, after settling into our new space and reviewing our operations, I am thrilled to announce that we have revisited our pricing structure. We have carefully considered your needs and expectations, and as a result, we will be reducing prices on several of our services. This adjustment is aimed at making our salon more accessible to all our valued clients while ensuring that the quality of service you've come to expect remains exceptional.
However, along with this positive news, I must also share some bittersweet farewells. It is with mixed emotions that we bid adieu to Ace, Alisha, and Cindy as they embark on exciting new journeys.
Alisha has chosen to take a sabbatical from hairstyling and has joined the team at Sierra Nevada. Ace is pursuing the path of entrepreneurship, and I couldn't be more proud of her decision. Cindy has accepted a position with My Salon Suites as their leasing agent, a fantastic opportunity for her.
While their departures leave a void, I wholeheartedly support their decision to pursue new chapters in their lives and careers.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to these exceptional individuals for their unwavering dedication, hard work, and invaluable contributions to Asheville Hair Design. They have been integral members of our salon family, and their presence will be missed.
Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the high standards of service you deserve. Tricia and Ace will continue to care for Alisha's part of our salon family.
Please visit our Facebook and Instagram for a post from Alisha.
Tricia will still be located at My Salon Suites in suite 228, and all of Asheville Hair Design's contact information will remain unchanged. Ace will be joining the team at Salon at Liberty Corner, and you can reach her via email at [email protected] or by phone at 828-808-2751.
Both Alisha and Ace's last day with us will be April 6th, 2024. If you have appointments scheduled beyond that date, we will follow up to ensure a seamless transition.
We can't wait to welcome you back to Asheville Hair Design and provide you with the outstanding service you've come to expect, now at even more affordable prices. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule your next appointment.
Thank you for your continued support and loyalty. We look forward to seeing you soon and sharing these exciting updates with you in person.
Warm regards,
Tricia Zinke
