Did you know that Impressions is a local, at-home clear aligner treatment? Most orthodontists offer traditional braces and Invisalign – Ridge Orthodontics also offers at-home treatment.

At-home treatment is like but completed from home! Save time and money with your local orthodontist, Blue Ridge Orthodontics.

What happens at the end of treatment? If you're thinking about at-home clear aligners, 90+% of your treatment will take place at home. When your treatment is complete and you've made it through all of your trays, you will come in for your refinement appointment. This appointment is built into the cost of treatment, so you won't have to pay additionally for it.

At this appointment you'll talk to a doctor, who will examine your smile and bite and together you'll decide if your smile is everything you've hoped for, or if a few more trays will be needed for final adjustments.

If you're happy with your smile, it's retainer time. You'll wear your last set of trays until your custom retainer is ready to keep you teeth in check!

Just a little reminder! Clean aligners are important for proper hygiene during your treatment. Decay develops when food particles accumulate between the teeth and on the aligners. Bacteria feast on the food debris, causing plaque. Plaque, in turn, causes cavities or tooth decay and gum disease.

Cleaning your trays is easy – just mix up your Invisalign cleaning crystals with water and drop them in. You can also mix hydrogen peroxide with water and let your aligners take a bath in there as well.
