Dear Valued Clients and Friends,

After much thought and reflection, I have decided that the time has come for me to retire. My last day behind the chair will be Friday, December 12th, and as I prepare for this new chapter, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the many years of trust, laughter, and connection we’ve shared.

It has been an absolute joy to be part of your lives — from first haircuts to weddings, family milestones, and everything in between. You’ve not only been clients but also friends who have made my career more meaningful than I could have ever imagined.

Though I will miss our conversations and spending my days at the salon, I’m looking forward to spending more time with family, pursuing hobbies, and embracing new adventures with Chris.
I’ll be passing the torch to Danielle as co-owner at Upper Cut. She will be fantastic. She does have a full clientele but
I’m happy to recommend Macy and Savannah who share my passion for personalized service and attention to detail. You’ll be in wonderful hands. I will help you get set up with them so the transition is easy.

Let’s congratulate Macy Burleson on her one year anniversary with Upper Cut!! February was the actual month and I apologize for letting that slip by me! Time flies. Macy is a fantastic stylist! She is a wonderful mother of 4 and has so many amazing talents other than hairdressing. We are so happy she’s a part of our team at Upper Cut.

So here’s the scoop. I think most of you know that I had rotator cuff surgery back in March. My surgeon finally released me and said get back to work!! My shoulder is so much better. Not 100%, but getting there. I’ve been out for 7 months and during that time I’ve been concentrating on healing! I also decided, since I am home I’ll do something productive so I am now a Real Estate agent with Keller Williams! I am coming back part-time to the salon and will most likely stay that way until I retire from the hair business one of these days. Right now I’m working two-ish days a week from 10:00 to 2:00. No evenings!! I’ll do this until January and then decide if I’ll add more days/hours to my schedule. I look forward to seeing everyone and catching up. Much love, Vickie 🩷

Great news!! We have water at Upper Cut! Of course we will be taking precautions advised by Woodfin water. No coffee will be offered and also our internet is still spotty, so be prepared to pay in cash in case our terminals can’t connect. Please be patient as your stylist will be in touch to get you scheduled or rescheduled. One day at a time, we are getting to a new normal! Much love 💕

Update on Upper Cut. No water yet, but I had a very productive 4 hours today doing only haircuts. Total of 7 for me and Danielle did a few as well. It was so nice to see familiar faces and be able to visit with each other. Hopefully the water will be on soon. I’ll post another haircut only date next week if anyone is interested in that. To my Upper Cut clients- I’m going to be taking walk-ins only on Wednesday from 10-2. We have power, but no water still, as of last night.
