The Colour Sanctuary

To all of my wonderful clients and colleagues around the country, I make this post with a bittersweet taste.

After 14 years, I have decided that it is time to hang up my hairdresser hat. My reasons are of a personal medical nature, and I would appreciate it, if everyone respects my privacy.

This career has taken me places that I would have never imagined I would be. I have learned + experienced things that most people only dream of. I will carry this last decade and a half with me for the rest of my life. This decision was not made lightly, or quickly. However, I truly believe it is what is best for me and my future.

In light of this career change, I am enrolled in college (at almost 40!) and working towards my Bachelors in Social Work and in Psychology. I am incredibly excited about this new path that God has sent me down.

When this ✨beautiful✨ soul came to me, she was defeated. She had had a recent, horrible experience with a hairdresser from another salon + she just didn’t know what to do with her hair 😔

We sat down + had a 45 minute consultation before I ever touched her hair 🗣️ We covered all of the details+ she understood that her end result would likely be a process. I promised that I would make sure that her ‘in-between’ hair was something she could be happy with 🙏🏼

I’d say we hit that nail on the head 🔨 😉

I carefully detangled her whole head + then we did a trim to get rid of her dead ends. We finished up with a protective style for cheer camp 📣🤸🏽‍♂️
