Here's a little backstage snap to give you an idea of how my "Our Lady of Protection" came out. I'll share professional images once they come in. I just wanted to gush about how Planned Parenthood Condom Couture AVL () was such an incredible pleasure to be a part of! It was one of less than a handful of times I've sent a model down a runway wearing not just my hair, or a headpiece that I made, but an entire garment that I created. Previously, the garments have been made of hair!! This one, is super special to me & was made of 1,100 condoms, 20oz of rubber cement, a couple curtains, some condom wrappers, coat hangers & tape. It was an honor to have Na'ama Ella Asido () wear my garment for her last Asheville fashion show before moving to NYC. I can't thank Tia Renay Hixon () enough for a beautiful makeup application & a sweet, upbeat sister vibe & I cannot wait to work with her on another collaboration! Thank you to everyone who came out to support Plannedparenthood () & to The Orange Peel ) for having an excellent location for us to have our event in & to for putting together such a wonderful night that I will always remember.
