This is a talk I recently presented at the Rogue Valley Metaphysical Library in Ashland titled "Holism, Healing and Mystical Experiences". I'm passionate about the material and these pathways to health, which is freedom. (A quick note---Youtube censors certain words, so I was careful not reference the specific medicines I use in my legal and above ground psychedelic medicine practice. Instead I refer to these experiences as "Occasioned Mystical Experiences or OMEs"--hopefully that will make sense as the talk unfolds!

This movie is definitely worth seeing! I thought Casey Cooper Johnson did an excellent job capturing the nuances and complex interplay between psychedelic experiences and mental illness-----how there can be shared territory between the two phenomenon and the paradox of how psychedelics can destabilize and/or heal someone societally deemed mentally ill (brought to mind R.D.
