Here's a great looking Solid Carbide Trepan Form Tool that recently came through the shop...

Trepanning or Face-Grooving is a drilling/milling process for producing larger diameter holes around a core or "boss", and typically requires less machine power by only removing the peripheral ring of material in the workpiece.
