Big thanks to the students and staff at Huntington School of Beauty Culture for having us out today.
Vance, Kevin, and Shawn (AKA Smokey) had a great time sharing some knowledge, doing a haircut demonstration, and talking about life in the industry. We always enjoy meeting future professionals and helping give them a look at what it’s really like behind the chair.

Today we’re celebrating the man, the myth, the co-owner who somehow keeps this place running while putting up with the rest of us.

Kevin has spent years perfecting his craft, making people look good, and reminding us that “just a little off the top” somehow turns into a masterpiece every time.

We’re pretty sure he’s reached the age where he makes more dad noises getting out of a chair than he does talking, but we’ll let that slide for today.

If you see Kevin, wish him a happy birthday and remind him that birthdays are a lot like haircuts—you can’t stop them from coming, but you can try to make them look good.

Happy Birthday, Kevin! Thanks for everything you do for The Vault. We hope your day is filled with good food, bad decisions, and absolutely no one asking for a last-minute walk-in five minutes before closing. 🍻✂️

Had breakfast at Mi Casita Kitchen & Bakery this morning and wanted to show them some love.

The banana chocolate pancakes were incredible, and the omelet was just as good. Great food, great service, and the kind of place that makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in.

German and his family have built something special, and we’re lucky to have local businesses like theirs in our community.

If you haven’t been by yet, do yourself a favor and stop in.
