I’ve had something weighing on my heart lately, and I wanted to share it.

One of the things I never expected when I started this business was just how many real conversations would happen in my room.

And the more women I talk to, the more I realize how many of us are carrying the same feelings.

We talk about our bodies and how they’re changing. Hormones. Perimenopause and menopause. Confidence. Marriage. Motherhood. Friendships that have changed or ended. Feeling overwhelmed. Feeling lonely even when we’re surrounded by people. Trying to take care of everyone else while wondering when we’re supposed to have time to take care of ourselves.

And so often, I hear some version of, “I thought it was just me.”

It is not just you. I promise!

I hear women apologize for their bodies. Pick themselves apart. Worry about being judged. Talk about feeling like they don’t recognize themselves anymore.

And I wish we could see ourselves the way we so easily see the women we care about—with a little more kindness and a lot more grace.

So I just want to say this:

My room will always be a safe place.

Yes, you can come in for your sugaring appointment. But you can also come in and talk. You can vent. You can laugh until your stomach hurts. You can cry if that’s what you need that day. Or you can say absolutely nothing, close your eyes, and just have a little while where nobody needs anything from you.

There is no judgment here.

Life can make women feel like we’re competing with each other or going through everything alone. But after all of the conversations I’ve had in this little room, I’m convinced we have so much more in common than we realize.

Maybe we can’t fix everything for each other.

But we can listen.
We can be kinder.
We can remind each other that we aren’t alone.
And we can have each other’s backs.

I want Smooth Essence to always be that kind of place. 🤍
