I’m sure you guessed it I will be out of the salon until the end of May! When I head back to work my schedule will be a bit limited as being a mommy to Grayson and Holden are my top priority during this season of life!

Let's break down the growth phases of your hair, starting with the Anagen phase. Anagen is your hair’s growing phase, about 90% of your hairs are in this phase at any given time. Depending on where on the body a hair grows, the growth phase will last longer or shorter. The growth phase is especially short for eyelashes, eyebrows, nasal hair and ear hair. Those hairs only grow for about 100 to 150 days, so they can’t get that long. The growth phase of hair on your head can last several years potentially growing over 3 feet in length if you don't cut it(but keep up with regular trims to remove split ends), make sure you have a clean healthy scalp, eat a nutritional diet full of vitamins,and use appropriate products to protect your strands.

Here is a wild concept for you. Hair goes through 4 growth phases. Anagen(growing phase), Catagen(stops growing phase), Telogen(resting phase), and Exogen(shedding phase). The craziest part is that any of your hairs could be in a different growth cycle all at the same time.

Did you know on average your hair grows 1cm every 28 days. That's about 5.5 inches in a year.
For a visual this Beauty's hair is about 5-6 years of growth.
