The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All while being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend... it’s one of the hardest things you will try and balance

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

I love these Christmas nails. The picture doesn’t do them justice. It’s green, silver, and red glitter. So gorgeous. I’m so glad to be able to get back to normal work doing what I love. I just love my clients.

I have had to have carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands. This journey started Aug. 27th one the first hand and then Sept. 10th on the second one. It hasn’t been easy.
I am very limited and have had to relinquish control of even my basic needs to others. It’s been very humbling and sometimes even embarrassing at times but I have accepted the help from others.
I am Thankful to have so many people in my life who have shown how much they care about Me. Whether it is through actually physically helping me or just reaching out to give encouragement to me through this difficult time, I am truly blessed. I care deeply about each and every one of you.
Through this journey I have learned that if we give God control over ALL of our needs that he will make sure every one of them are met. It may not be exactly when we want it done but with patience it will get done.
I will close with one of my favorite quotes. “God is good, all the time. All the time, God is good. “

The latest news from Gov. Greg Abbott is that Salons will NOT reopen at this time. He is hoping to allow them to open mid May.

With that being said ALL May appointments will be postponed and rescheduled for a later date. I will wait until I have an accurate date before I put anyone back on the book for May. I will start contacting everyone I currently have on the schedule.

I hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and make the best of our situations. I miss you all. ❤️

Loves and Prayers for all!

I am going to start out by saying I’m so sorry for the closure of our salon. It begins April 1st at midnight. If anyone has an appt scheduled with me after that date, I will be touching base with you by either through calling or texting you to reschedule. We will reopen as soon as we are allowed. I am looking forward to getting back to normal and seeing all my sweet clients again. Remember that We are all in this together. We will make it through and God will have all the glory. He is in control.
