Georgia Rivers had the pleasure of leading a group of teens participating in the Refugee Womens Network on a paddle trip on the Yellow River this week. The RWN summer program is designed to provide outdoor experiences for children of refugee/immigrant families. It was a tired bunch of girls at the end of a 6.5-mile journey...but it was a good kind of tired. Georgia Rivers offers scholarships to women, people of color, recent immigrants and low-income individuals and families to participate in our paddle trips.
