Using herbs is cool but if you’re not treating the problem you might as well be ignoring it. And vice versa if you’re not treating the symptoms as well then you’re going to feel as if nothing is changing.

Bipolar depression (manic depression) is caused by an alteration in your brain chemistry from trauma. You may also be diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and in some cases schizophrenia. Your support to your treatment plan should include herbs and lifestyle changes to manage your mental health as well.

Don’t ignore your triggers, don’t ignore the signs of being manic, and celebrate your good days. I often forget to celebrate the days/months where I go without an episode and I’m consistent with managing my disorder but it is worth celebrating. ☀️

Whats the difference? Although some of the symptoms of both are similar they still require different treatments. Around 6 mil Americans suffer from bipolar depression and about 17 million Americans suffer from major depression.

It’s important to seek help, especially if you are bipolar because a manic episode can quickly turn into psychosis and you’ll lose touch with reality and start to hallucinate. It’s happen to me several times from me thinking I could manage my moods on my own without doing the proper research on my disorder.

The same goes for depression which is the leading cause of su***de in young adults.

It is OKAY to get HELP! It does not make you less than, no one is going to look at you different, your family and friends that matter will be there to support you and hold your hand. You are not alone!
