Detangling hair can be stressful!
Here's a list of things to consider when detangling:
🔸Start with the right tools: get a detangling brush with wide-tooth bristles to gently work through tangles without damaging the hair.
🔸Use the right products: Depending on the condition of the hair —use a leave-in detangling spray or a conditioner that's not so heavy and has some slip to help soften and hydrate the hair. Dry detangling could result in an excessive amount of breakage.
🔸Section the hair into manageable sections to maintain control and efficiency. Always start detangling from bottom and work your way up the hair shaft. If finger detangling; separate hair horizontally to prevent breaking hair up the shaft.
🔸Be gentle, be patient, be kind to your hair. After detangling, make sure you establish a regular regimen to promote and sustain healthy hair and growth.
