We’re reopening with some precautions to keep you safe.

Dear YKR family,

We will be open for booking on Tuesday May 5, however we will be implementing some new precautions due to COVID-19.

• Our new hours of operation are as follows:
Tuesday-Wednesday
8am-4pm

Friday-Saturday
9am-5pm

• If you or someone in your household has been unwell in the past 48 hours, please do not book an appointment. If you arrive to your appointment with a fever or severe cough you will be asked to reschedule.

• To limit client contact we will be taking no more than 4 bookings per day. We have built in time between each client to thoroughly clean and sanitize all tools, seating, and fixtures necessary for your service. While we must allow this time for cleaning our 10 minute grace period will be strictly enforced. If you arrive after the 10 minute grace period you will be asked to reschedule.

• We will not be using the waiting area in the salon during this time. If you bring additional people to your appointment with you they are welcome to wait outside the building or in your vehicle. No children will be allowed in the salon unless they are being serviced and accompanied by one adult.

• It is required of all stylists to wear a mask and it is requested of all clients. If you do not have a mask but would like one, we will begin providing disposable masks for client use.

Keeping a Safe Distance?

We are reaching out to you all to let you know that we share in your concern during this time of distress and confusion, and to offer an update on our business. Our hearts go out to all of the people and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that you and your families are well and safe, and taking the necessary measures to stay that way.

Many have asked if YKR will still be operating during the pandemic. We will continue taking clients for the time being. As salon owners we are required by state board to take extensive cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing measures on a regular basis to maintain cleanliness and prevent the spread of disease. We have taken it upon ourselves to increase our sanitation to ensure the safety of our clients and staff. Please understand that your safety and wellbeing is our priority during this time. We understand that we all have families to go back to that we must keep safe as well. That being said, if you have an appointment scheduled with us and are feeling ill or slightly under the weather, you will be required to cancel your appointment for at least two weeks. When coming to your appointment you will not be allowed any extra guests in the salon.

Mayor Lance-Bottoms has issued a statement requiring all non-essential businesses to temporarily close and in that statement excused salons, allowing us to stay open for the time being. We are fortunate to be operating within My Salon Suites, which allows us to service one client at a time in an individual/enclosed suite. This provides a safer approach to conduct business for now and we are confident that we can prevent the spread of COVID-19 from our establishment.

We will finish out the month of March taking clients in the salon and move to a week-by-week basis for booking in April as the nature of the pandemic continues to change. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to getting through this with you!
