My loc health came with consistency, patience, and learning what my hair actually needed. It was not a single miracle product.

Once I focused on moisture balance instead of just maintaining the appearance, my locs took off! Softness, manageability, and length retention are just a few results. ✨

Healthy locs are built through what you repeat.

Save this for your loc journey 💚

REASONS WHY YOUR LOCS KEEP FALLING OUT:

1) NEGLECT
2) improper color treatment
3) improper extension instillation
4) TENSION
5) inconsistent maintenance
6) dead ends, time for a trim
7) NEGLECT
8) not booking with

LOC EDUCATION:
*For my readers 😉*

The question isn’t “why do my locs keep falling out?”. The question and concern lies in where your locs are falling out from.

Let’s take this in sections.

• If your locs are coming apart at the ends? It’s time for a trim. That’s natural and healthy. Hold my hand, it’s time to let it go.

• If your locs are coming apart at the shaft, there could be a few reasons. I’ll name the scenarios I see most often:

1) Improper color treatment. If you’ve lightened your locs specifically, and the color was not properly cleansed, the color has damaged your loc from the inside out. A literal implosion. This is irreversible, but can be aesthetically fixed with a crochet service.

2) Tension from styling. If you keep your styles in longer than recommended, depending on the style and level of tension, this could eat away at your locs causing thinning, weak spots, and eventually breakage. Give your locs a chance to breathe between styling and try not to keep your styles in longer than recommended. Especially if you’re adding hair. Speaking of…

3) Improper extension installation. If you have extensions that were not done properly, they will slip, meaning break off. This can also happen if you’re doing 1 & 2 on top of the extensions.

• If your locs are coming out from the root? The scalp will reveal deeper issues related to health, diet, stress, and much more. You will want to see a trichologist for proper diagnosis.

• Other concerns: if your locs are coming apart at the very top of the shaft, close to your roots, it’s probably from tension or inconsistent maintenance. This can be fixed with a professional crochet service.
