T-Knot Bracelets

The Story:

T-knot bracelets are bracelets that are made from recycled t-shirts.

I have been saving all three of my sons’ t-shirts for over ten years now, with the goal in mind that I would make each of them a “T-Shirt Quilt” for college. I started cutting the shirts. I knew I was saving the fronts for the quilts, but I didn’t want to waste the back of the t-shirt. I also didn’t want to sew or spend a lot of time making something else out of them. I wanted to make something that was fun, attractive and affordable to sell to the younger clients in my salon. All of a sudden, a light bulb came on. I cut the t-shirts into strips and began braiding the strips into bracelets. Thus, the “T-Knot Bracelet” was born!

Proceeds from sales of the T-Knot Bracelets will go to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Given the fact that two of my sons have had multiple visits to CHOA, the organization is dear to my heart and I wanted to give back a piece of what they have given to me and my children.
