Welcome to The Black Beauty Network.

For months, I’ve been working toward this moment. Planning, creating, stressing, praying and believing that what I saw in my head could become something real. And last night, I got to watch it happen.

It rained, and y’all STILL came. Nearly 220 people showed up, and watching everyone connect was honestly the most beautiful part. Friends from high school connecting with friends from college. People I’ve known for years meeting people I literally met last week. Different circles coming together, exchanging information, laughing, networking and building new relationships.

And yes, your photos are coming! We’ll be emailing everyone their photos from the event soon, so be on the lookout.

At one point, I just stood there and took it all in. This is exactly what I wanted. Not just an event or a room full of people, but a space for us to genuinely connect, build and create opportunities for one another.

And I have to give a special shoutout to my team, my friends, my people. There are truly no friends like the ones I have. From helping me set up, picking up mics, handling whatever needed to be handled and being there for me through some personal things behind the scenes, y’all showed up for me in every way.
