As a wig making educator, hosting my first hands-on group wig making class taught me lessons I could’ve never learned teaching 1:1.

I went into SBF Wig Maker Academy knowing exactly how I wanted my students to feel and what I wanted them to walk away with.

But there’s a huge difference between preparing for something and actually experiencing it.

Some things worked exactly how I imagined. Some things showed me where there was room to improve. And some things I didn’t even think about until I had 16 women in the room depending on me.

That experience gave me a completely different perspective on what I’m building with SBF Wig Maker Academy.

The goal isn’t to keep doing the same class over and over again.

It’s to make every room better than the last.

And I already know exactly what I’m doing differently next time.

Hum du Allah , praise be to GOD. 🤲🏾

There really aren’t enough words to explain what this moment means to me.

Six years ago, I was just a girl with an Amazon wig, a dream and enough faith to keep going even when I had absolutely no idea where God was taking me. I remember people looking up to me when I was at my lowest . Broke , scared and still chasing a dream I thought had failed me .

I prayed for my business. I prayed for growth. I prayed for the ability to create a life doing something I genuinely loved.

But I never knew that while I was asking God to bless my hands, He was preparing me to use them to teach other women too.

This weekend, I stood in a room full of women who traveled, invested in themselves and trusted ME to pour into them. 🥹

That is something I will never take for granted .

To every woman who sat in that room, thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your journey. I pray the knowledge you left with opens doors for you that you can’t even see yet. I pray your hands are blessed, your businesses flourish, and this becomes the beginning of testimonies even bigger than mine.

To everyone who has supported Styles By Finn, purchased a wig, taken a class, shared a post, left a comment, sent an encouraging message or simply watched this journey unfold…

None of this happens without God, and none of it means anything to me if I can’t use what He has given me to pour back into somebody else.

I don’t know exactly what God has planned for SBF Wig Maker Academy…

But if this is only the beginning, I pray He continues to make me worthy of every room He allows me to lead.

May the next six years be less about what I can accomplish and more about how many lives I can impact along the way.

I never planned to be a wig educator, this is God’s plan. 🤲🏾

When I first started wig making, my scope was slim. I wanted the sold-out hair drops and monthly restocks, but I didn’t have a clue how I was going to get there and I definitely didn’t think teaching was in the books for me .

As I grew, I felt called to share what I learned with one person.

That one person turned into 5. 5 turned into 10.

And now, over 175 women have learned how to make custom wigs from me. 🥹

The crazy part is, somewhere along the way I realized God wasn’t only growing my business for me.

Every mistake I made, every lesson I learned, every late night I spent trying to figure this craft out… eventually became something I could turn around and teach the next woman.

And now I’m preparing to walk into a room filled with women who trusted ME to help them start their own wig making journey. THANK YOU TO MY GIRLS 🫶🏾
