This was me at 19.
On the news. Mugshot everywhere. People telling me I would never be a nurse.
Strangers calling me a bad mom because of a horrible mistake I made while trying to beat the odds as a teen mom and give my son a better life.
Today, I can honestly say I’m so glad I went through EVERYTHING I went through.
3 years later, I had my nursing license AND a six-figure business.
I didn’t just touch six figures once either.
I have SIX FIGURES DOCUMENTED MULTIPLE TIMES. Receipts and all.
Everything I said I was gonna do, I did.
Now here comes AI.
I’m getting a whole lotta love, but I’m getting backlash too. People don’t understand it. People got something to say. Some people think I’m doing too much.
All I can think is…
God prepared me for this when I was 19 years old.
You cannot scare me with people talking about me.
You cannot scare me with people not understanding me.
You cannot scare me with starting over.
I already know what God can do with my life when everybody thinks it’s over.
I already know what it feels like to have people look at ONE moment in my life and decide who I’m supposed to be forever.
I also know what it feels like to prove them WRONG.
This time?
I’m not scared of the backlash.
I know what happens when I bet on myself.
More importantly, I know what happens when God puts something on my heart and I MOVE.
Now I’m finna show y’all EXACTLY why I can’t get jiggy with a 9 to 5 EVER.

Ain’t nobody better than me & you wanna know why? Because I’m the only me.
Lashes changed my life, but one of the biggest things this industry taught me was to stay in my own lane.
I spent too much time before looking left and right. Who doing more? Who making more? Who booked? Who growing faster? Who got what?
Whole time, none of that had NOTHING to do with me.
My only opponent is the woman I was yesterday.
Can I get better than her?
Can I be more disciplined than her?
Can I believe bigger than her?
Can I stop playing with the gifts God gave me?
Because nobody walking this earth can beat me at being Destyni.
& nobody walking this earth can beat you at being YOU.
That’s why comparison will have you wasting years trying to win a race you were never entered in.
Stay in your lane. Build your thing. Master your gift. Become better than who you used to be.
Lashes changed my life because I finally stopped worrying about everybody else’s lane and started seeing how far I could take mine 💗
