Forever Missing you …it’s been 4 years n still seems like yesterday….

Behind every head of hair…is a story…I meet clients where they at and not pushy..I am THOROUGH in explaining what is needed and what you want!!! Picture A…after the blow dry…client needs a trim…has needed said trim for over 2 years…client traumatized by shears (not from mi..I’m sure the other person didn’t explain to her what needed to be done) her hair is very very thin on the ends…at least 3 inches CUT not trimmed..I’ve even offered to do a gradual trim in phases…client only presses hair maybe 2 times a year.

PICTURE B…after the press…heat is hiding the damage..but if you feel the ends..thin thin ….client opted not to trim because she didn’t want to “loose her length”

Sidebar…when you don’t trim the ends…your hair just splits UP the shaft…causing a frizzy or choppy or broken mess..hair feels thin..

PICTURE C….I gave her what she wanted..a good shampoo/condition/press and some curls…and yes I did recommend the trim again…

PICTURE D…The CUT the client needed!!! As a stylist it’s my job to show the client what she needs and explain it to her in a way she understands..ultimately it’s the clients decision…this particular client slacked on her maintenance and opted to do what was best for her hair growth journey

PICTURE B….after the press..look how different the hair LOOKS…doesn’t look like much needs to be trimmed….but the density of the hair is compromised and it feels thin thin thin…

PICTURE A……the hair hair has been shampooed..conditioned and blowdried…you can clearly see that A trim is needed…I chose not to trim at this phase because of the way she wears her hair daily…I can see that more needs to be CUT not trimmed…I will press her out so she can see and FEEL the density of her hair and why she needs a CUT not a trim…plus I want a straight pallet to begin trimming…this person has been my client for years so I know how she wears her hair and maintains her hair
