One of the most common questions we get with extensions: “Will I be able to wear my hair in a ponytail?” The answer is yes—but every head of hair is different, and your ponytail can vary based on a few things:
• Give it a little time. Ponytails are typically best a week or more after installation. Fresh extensions can feel tighter and have more tension immediately after your appointment, so allowing them time to settle makes a big difference.
• Your extension method matters. For wefts, we typically find that a sew-in method gives more flexibility for ponytails than a beaded method.
• Your natural density matters. Coverage around the front and hairline depends on how much natural hair you have in those areas to conceal and blend your extensions.
• Results vary from person to person. Your natural density, hairline, extension method, placement, and amount of hair installed all play a role in how your ponytail will look.
