Today I wanted to showcase the proper consistency that your mask should be when applying to your face.
No matter what clay mask you’re applying on your masking day it should never be runny or dripping. Your clay mask should have the consistency of applesauce a happy medium not too runny but not too thick!
Depending on what you’re trying to combat and the area you’re targeting you should always apply a thin layer first allow that layer to dry and then reapply another layer.
Never let your mask dry completely on your face. You’re causing more harm than help when you allow your mask to dry completely on your face. It could severely change your skin type in a matter of seconds and has a damaging effect over a course of period of time. You would stripping your skin of its natural oils and that’s a big no no! If you’ve ever had a facial professionally done, why do you think they keep a steamer on why they’re applying your mask and then leaving it on why you’re Mask is drying? It’s because they want your skin to still retain moisture and not dry out while the mask is trying to do its job.

If You Aren’t Oil Cleansing Yet, Here’s Why It’s Time to Start
Rubbing oil on your face to clean it probably sounds like a one-way ticket to breakouts, clogged pores, and greasy skin.
But what if I told you that oil cleansing is, hands down, the best approach to skin care I’ve ever tried — and that my skin has never looked better?
Oil cleansing can be wildly effective, and, once you understand the process, it all starts to make perfect sense.
Cleansing the skin with an oil-based product, like a cleansing oil, is based on the chemistry adage that ‘like dissolves like’.
Oil cleansing lets you gently and effectively remove daily impurities, debris, makeup, and sunscreen without stripping moisture or freaking out your skin’s microbiome.
Cleansing process
Oil cleansing is a two-step process you can do 1 to 2 times per day. Here’s what you’ll do:
Smooth the oil onto dry skin. I love this part. It’s a calming ritual that combines a little aromatherapy with gentle lymphatic massage, particularly around any areas prone to congestion.
Rinse away the oil, and, with it, all the yuck that’s collected on your skin throughout the day.
Sounds simple, but it’s important to note that simply splashing water on your face to rinse probably won’t do the trick.
Keep in mind, water and oil repel. It’s difficult to effectively remove an oil cleanser from your skin with just water.
Instead, you can use a damp microfiber cloth to help gently sweep everything away. This will leave your skin fresh, clean, and clear of the day’s various accumulations, with none of the tightness.
And that’s really it. Cleansing oils can double as a moisturizer and leave your skin so hydrated that you don’t need anything else.
Still, feel free to follow up with a few drops of your favorite facial oil, serum, or balm if you want to.
