Couldn’t let the month past without sharing some of my fav Pride Month/Pride adjacent looks over the years!!

If I’m being honest, it’s making me SO emotional rn. I haven’t created new looks on myself in so so long, and I miss this version of me more than I can put into words. But looking through these photos reminds me that creativity never disappears, it just waits patiently for us to find our way back. At least that’s what I’ve been telling myself…

As a q***r artist, I carry so much pride in the blood, sweat, tears (and glitter) I’ve poured into my artistry over the years. Every look has been a love letter to self-expression as well as the beautiful community that has helped shape who I am. I love y’all very very much.

And whether it’s through my makeup, doing what I can support my community, or simply existing authentically, I hope I’ve contributed even a small spark of encouragement for someone else to embrace who they are.

+ Of course, we deserve to be loved and celebrated. Not just during June, but every single day!! 👩🏻‍🎨💌✨

My first official Latinx Heritage look!! I’ve wanted to create a series of makeup looks inspired by my cultures for so long and I’m so honored to finally have the chance to start! 🇲🇽✨

I created this eyeliner inspired by the stunning colors and patterns of the sarape, and paired it with a beautiful red, white, and green liner + blush combo to represent the colors of the México flag 🇲🇽

It’s Hispanic Heritage Month 💃🏻✨

Today is the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month, when we join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society.

September 15 is important because Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua all celebrate their Independence Day on this very day!

As a multicultural Latina makeup artist, I have been planning to create a Hispanic Heritage Month makeup series for years now so I’m so excited to start sharing more about my cultures, experiences, inspirations, and role models in our beautiful Latinx community.
