May he walk confidently in the purpose You have prepared for him, using his intelligence, humor, and determination to achieve great things. Keep him safe, focused, and always striving to become the best version of himself.

No matter how many times I encounter this, it deeply affects my soul. It is one of my most cherished Bible verses.

Comparison can be risky; it’s best to focus on your own path, as you may not be aware of what others experience behind closed doors.

Many people dislike or dismiss the Dave Ramsey plan.

However, I remember when I first encountered the book in late 1997 or 1998, which was given to my husband, and I found it incredibly easy to follow because I thrive on structure and was ready to change for the better.

It remains the best decision we ever made for ourselves. Even today, I continue to use that same spreadsheet to monitor our plan.

Ultimately, whether you agree with it or not, the most impactful aspect for me was this:

shortly after I began my fitness journey, I adopted a baby steps approach, progressing one day at a time until I reached a good place. Wisdom is constantly available; the choice to follow it is yours.

Now my 18-year-old can not only follow but also teach this plan! Everything I know, he knows, and together we’re always learning more.
