Happy Mother's Day to all the Momma's and mother figures out there me here at This PCOS Life!

This Mother's Day is a really special one for us even though COVID-19 has changed ALL of our plans, but we are happy to say that our baby girl is on the way! Our little girl will be here within the next few weeks and we couldn't be happier! It's been a long journey for us, but God's timing is the only timing!

As a lot of you that suffer with PCOS know, difficulty getting pregnant, and sometimes infertility, are common issues that stem from having PCOS. We tried for many years, talked with different specialists, did different workout regimens and diets, and still nothing worked for a very long time. My husband and I struggled for years, but I am excited that it finally happened and our blessing will be here in just a couple more months!

For all of the ladies and girls out there with PCOS, your PCOS does NOT define you! Keep your head up. Keep having faith! You can and you WILL overcome PCOS!

For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him.

We decided not to throw a party for the game tonight since neither one of our teams are playing tonight. Lol But, I decided to go ahead and try out some recipes that I found and whip up some Keto treats for me and the hubby. I hope they turn out great still!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚This was me when I first started Keto! Lol But 45 lbs later I discovered so many more good things that I can eat! Lol

Just had to restock the fridge with drinks, so I decided to snap a pic and share it.

On the first shelf, we have the Essentia Water (my FAVORITE) which is essential (πŸ˜‰ lol) to staying hydrated and keeping your whole body in balance.

Next we have our "flavored drinks" section. This is mostly Fresca's and some zero calorie drinks with regular Ginger Ale for those guests that want "all the sugars" as the hubby puts it. Lol It's a great compromise for those few times that I absolutely have to have something with some fizz while the husband can still enjoy his drinks, in moderation, with flavor.

Then we have some stuff to cook like sausages, a BUNCH of cheese, turkey sticks, jerky, eggs, etc., all of which are great options for snacks that are high in protein and / or fats between meals.

Below that are our Keto-friendly meals from our friends over at KettleBell Kitchen. We're still trying them out, but the meals and the large number of Keto options has been amazing so far! I will keep you all up-to-date on how we like them after we've used them for a little while longer.

In the crisper, we usually store all of our leafy vegetables and salads, but obviously we need to make a grocery run, because we're fresh out!!
Lol

Now, that you've seen what's in our fridge, what's in yours??? Are you keeping it Keto-friendly, are you transitioning, starting soon? Let me know and even share some pics if you like.

This is a marathon, not a race. You have to pace yourself and not allow distractions or setbacks knock you of course. Some things may take us a little longer because of PCOS but we must stay the course and trust that we are doing the right things.

This journey has its ups and downs but you must stay the course in order to reach the destination. It is also important to have a support system for the ups and downs or else you fall back into old habits. Stay consistent and ask for help/motivation whenever you need it!
