Boys definitely don’t play about their Mothers and Christian just earned his yellow belt. It was a treat watching what he learned Fall Semester and I loved the way the instructor worked with them.

In just that hour I witnessed how the instructor builds resilience, discipline, confidence, and emotional intelligence.

I told my Lover “Christian stands 10 toes down for me you better watch out”…Alduan’s response “and he will be 10 toes on the floor” lol.

Do It Scared~One of the most beautiful things about parenthood is seeing your child do the hard things and excel because of their faith + preparation. Trinity we are so proud of you for your performance in Annie.

Trinity only had 4 weeks to practice for the big recital after I found out about Rahk Dance Academy. She trained for hours each day perfecting her skills and did a phenomenal job.

Watching her was my reminder to lean all the way and pursue my dreams with the understanding that failure is not an option. When you have that mindset you will always win. It’s always been YOU vs YOU. Lean in with the expectation that you will accomplish everything that you have prayed for plus more.

Excited to share that Grady Memorial Hospital just launched their Watchman Program! Dr. Aman Gupta congratulations on your launch and to the entire tech, nursing team, and Grady Administrators.
 
Providing this therapy in the heart of Atlanta for patients who are managing stroke risk from atrial fibrillation makes a significant difference in our community. Access to therapy is important and now patients are able to consider what life would look like without being on blood thinners with the concern of falls or bleeds.

I would not have missed this event. Congratulations Tiffany and on putting on the inaugural NBAF brunch. Hosting this fundraiser for the NBAF could have not come at a better time. It was a beautiful day for an amazing cause.

❤️HEART HEALTH: MY WHY ❤️

This race hit different — because it is different.

When I learned about the SCARE 5K, it immediately became personal. My mom had a heart attack during my junior year of college, and my grandmother also battled heart disease. Their stories are my why. ❤️

My mom is healthy and thriving today — but she represents the 1 in 2 Black women in the U.S. living with some form of heart disease (heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke, etc). The scary part? She didn’t even realize she was having a heart attack. Most women don’t.

Ladies — know your numbers. Cardiac arrest is the #1 cause of death in the U.S. ⛔️

When I learned about the incredible work of the Georgia Arrhythmia Foundation — raising awareness, providing therapy, and educating communities — I knew I had to gather my tribe to support the 15th Annual SCARE 5K.

Here’s a fact that shook me:
⏱️ For every minute after cardiac arrest that an AED (defibrillator) isn’t used, survival drops by 7–10% per minute.
⚡️ After 5 minutes = ~50% survival.
⚡️ After 10 minutes =

Happy Anniversary Lover ~ I am thankful for your partnership and love over the years. I am thankful that we’ve made this decision to intentionally make our marriage a priority. 11 years of marriage 16 years together, and 7 Marriage Retreats/Vow Renewals God has been apart of our love every step of the way.

Something near and dear to my heart with several of the women in my family experiencing heart disease (Heart disease is the #1 K*ller of Black Women).

Miles 🏃🏾‍♀️ with The Mayor for Breakfast~ Where do I begin…
1. You know you are crazy when you are waking up at 4am for a race. I mean honestly something has to be off 😫😂🫤😜. But I’ll take being crazy about my health any day.
2. Never ever ever miss the Mayors 5k at the Atlanta Airport. The energy is unmatched!!The band, DJ, live music, food…Mayor Andre we need the same band back next year.
3. Running on the runway at the airport is an incredible 💫 experience for a phenomenal cause! Our crew showed up and showed out to support the fundraising efforts for The Mayors Youth Scholarship Program and Untied Way of Atlanta over 300k was raised.
4. The race is limited to the first 2,000 runners so spots go fast but it’s definitely an experience…10/10 add this race to your runners 🏃🏾‍♀️ bucket list.
5. The Mayors 5k is very much the Hotlanta experience 🔥💫 It was giving what needed to be gave.
6. Freedie .falcon come to the front…whoever is in that costume is 🔥🔥🔥 you had the crowd going crazy.
