The reason I started this company is because it was a dream I’ve always had as a little girl, to be able to one day own a hair extensions company. Years later i am now living this dream. Clout Couture Hair started in October of last year and had been in start up for about six months before I officially released my e-commerce website on March 24th. Now that my business is ready for the world, I am more than ecstatic and grateful to be able to say that I accomplished one of my many goals. I came up with the name Clout Couture Hair, because I wanted the idea to be that by wearing my hair you would feel famous as a celebrity; which is why my slogan is “Clout Couture Hair, Where You’re Ticket To Fame Awaits”. I’ve been interested in the hair industry for as long as I can remember. My passion and love for hair started in the eighth grade, when I would try to do my own sew-ins and braids; over the years I got better and better, and eventually started working in a salon. Upon graduating high school , I knew that I wanted more for myself and that just doing hair wasn’t enough...so I applied to college to major in business management and well the rest from there is history. Now, being a first generation college student and a black business owner, I’m telling you this is just the start!
