Hi! Yes, I've moved again!

I am officially no longer at Hemlock Salon and you can now find me in a private studio in the heart of Decatur. Serene Selene is located at Soho 212 Suites in East Decatur Station (627 E College Ave), halfway between downtown Decatur and Sams Crossing. Three Taverns Brewery and Decatur Healing Arts are in the same building.

There is a free parking lot located on all sides of the building. You will park in the parking lot, walk along the sidewalk to the second door on the side of the building, where you will reach Soho212 Suites. There is a pad for entry. You will receive a custom code for entry on the day of your appointment.

I also updated the service menu, in hopes to make it as user-friendly as possible, but would love any and all feedback!

On the website, you will see two main haircuts:
- ritual haircut
-maintenance haircut

I've had quite a few questions regarding the service menu so I'll hopefully clarify a bit:

-- If you'd like a head massage, hot towel, and more relaxing experience, book the ritual haircut. You should also reserve this appointment if we're making a significant change (i.e. adding a ton more layers, changing shapes, taking length off, etc). You can always opt out of any of the massage or towels.
There are options for curly cuts and transformation cuts.
-- If you're looking for a standard no-frills "trim", book the maintenance appointment. There are options for shampoo or no shampoo. To book a standard haircut with a shampoo, 1-hour service, select the + shampoo option. An express haircut can now be booked as a 40-min, no shampoo appointment. If you and I have consistently had 30-min appointments (you know who you are lol), that is no longer bookable online - please book the 40-min and I will charge the 30-min rate upon checkout.
-- Children's haircuts are also now 40 min appointments, at $70. If the appointment can be completed in the previously allotted 30-min, this price is $55. This is not an online-bookable option.

Beginning April 12, Alex Duckworth will be taking clients in a private suite in Decatur and will no longer be taking clients at Hemlock Salon

Sunday, April 5 will be Alex's last day at Hemlock Salon. '

No appointments will be available April 5-11.
Beginning Sunday, April 12, Alex will begin taking clients at Serene Selene Salon in the East Decatur Station complex at 627 E College Ave near downtown Decatur. This is a private suite with free parking!!

If you have visited me at Hemlock, you will automatically be added to the new booking service and email list via GlossGenius, so please keep an eye out!

Click the button below to bookmark the booking link for future use, but the website is very much still under construction! I will send another email through GlossGenius when everything is up to par in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, you can very much still book through your Vagaro link (yes, even for appointments after April 5). I will manually transfer all appointments booked after my last day at Hemlock and your appointment will still stand as booked at the new location in Decatur. I will also be personally reaching out to everyone booked after April 5.

I am always so grateful for everyone who has continued to support me through the years. My time at Hemlock has been great in many ways and I am so excited to continue my journey in bringing together beauty and wellness.
