Figuring out how to show up authentically as a business on social media has been so incredibly challenging. The more clients I speak with, the more I recognize that we already are. The BBA bride/client isn’t looking for an influencer or someone who is posting for the algorithms. I constantly hear “I just love how natural and elevated everyone looks in your photos”. They have searched with intention to find the beauty team that meets their specific beauty goal. They are not looking for trendy reels, popular music or catchy captions. Just timeless, heirloom quality beauty professionals. Thank you for being here and supporting our vision.

It’s my last weekend off until November so I’m going to soak it up with my boys. Football tonight and I will spend the weekend teaching Kory how to create a resume and apply for jobs. He’s ready to earn some money. What are y’all up to?

I truly can’t say it enough. Every bride should have beauty shots in her gallery. There’s nothing more beautiful than the glow and happiness of a bride on her wedding day. This is an heirloom quality photo. Photographers, can we normalize beauty shots in a gallery? Of course, this benefits me because what vendor doesn’t want gorgeous shots of their work, but I don’t know a single bride that doesn’t absolutely swoon when she sees herself back in a portrait like this. Sidenote: I can never choose between color and black & white.

Sent my kiddos B2S this morning. Karter is a 3rd grader and Kory is a 10th grader. We had a very low key summer making intimate memories in the comfort of our home. I am optimistic and excited about what the 2022/23 school year has in store for my boys. Happy 1st back to all the students, teachers, staff and parents.

I am positively obsessed with all of the soft glam moments we’ve had this Spring season. Absolutely flawless + glowing skin, sultry lashes, pouty lips, glamorous waves and sleek parts. Melanie dropped jaws all day long. ’s reaction to seeing her will live rent free in my head until the end of all time. I am a huge admirer of his unbelievable talent and creative genius, so having his praise was positively priceless. You must go check out his work if you haven’t seen it already!

My team and I successfully completed my biggest wedding weekend of 2022 in Atlanta. 18 stylists out for 5 weddings.

My career path has changed drastically. It was never in my vision to be a large team doing volume weddings. I always thought I’d be a small boutique type business - but as my personal life evolved, my vision changed. I am attempting to do something I don’t see much in my industry. I am becoming a volume provider while still offering a high touch, highly skilled, luxury feel experience. I can’t even begin to tell you the level of fulfillment this brings me. I’ve been challenged in ways that make me so uncomfortable, but have grown me beyond words.

When I made this decision, I said to myself/wrote in a journal - BBA will become the leading bridal beauty team in Atlanta. BBA will become the team that is known for housing the best bridal talent in the city. BBA will be a luxury brand, despite its size.

There have been times that I have trembled while asking certain talent if they’d be open to working with me. Of course, I have been rejected, but I’ve also been rewarded.

I am feeling some major peak success this week. I never imagined how good it would feel to lead a team of absolutely fu***ng incredible rockstars. It was never in my vision, but I truly feel I am FINALLY walking in my purpose. I stopped resisting what the universe kept calling me to do and leaned all the way into it. I stopped allowing other people to define my success.

I’m still going through some growing pains. I’m still working towards my dream business, but I am stopping to savor this sweet moment of success.

This is not a brag. It is a testimony. Lean in, friends. Get out of your way. ✌🏼& 🤍

I have spent the past several weeks talking about the balance (and challenge) of being a wife + mother while having a growing + flourishing career. Let’s not even bother to get into all the other responsibilities of life. I’ve made the mistake of comparing my career path to other. I know we all have. Time after time, I recognize I am frequently comparing myself to those who do not even remotely have a life like mine. When I sit down and talk to my peers that do, I quickly find out we are facing so many of the same struggles. Applaud yourself today, you are kicking ass and have so much to applaud yourself for.

If you follow me personally then you know mental health + the effects of lifelong trauma (and my personal struggle with it) is not something I shy away from talking about. I have experienced some powerful breakthrough moments this past month when it comes to things that trigger me professionally. My personal trauma very much bleeds into my professional life and how I manage the constant comparisons, rejections and peer validation. Every day I get closer to embracing my journey and recognizing that my success will never look like someone else’s because they haven’t walked my life path. Knowing that the path I have walked has only contributed to the success I am currently experiencing. It only contributes to my authenticity and ability to see value in everyone. It’s what keeps me grounded, humble and relatable. Shout out to those of you who have and are facing unthinkable adversity, but refuse to let it define you and defeat you. I’m rooting for you and your success. 🤍

Work/Life is an impossible balance when your work is so much of your identity. Some may see this as a negative, but I see it as beautiful. I’m out here living my best life in every way. I am living the life I dreamed of. My dreams are much bigger now, but I’m thankful to have made it to this chapter. 🤍
