It doesn't matter if you're a pageant queen. It is OKAY to take off that Crown and say, "I am Not Okay".

👑 Miss Natural Nation Co. gives our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst. Mental Health must be taken seriously, especially in the Black community. Depression, Anxiety, BPD, Bipolar Disorder ADHD and many other forms of mental illness can look like someone with much success, someone who has it all together, someone who seems happy or funny, someone who is always the one to help everyone and never needs help themselves. It doesn't always look lonely, angry or sad.

💜 Do not be embarrassed to say "I need help". Do not feel ashamed at the thoughts and feelings that you may have or think that no one will understand. Do not walk in that dark place alone. Please reach out to someone. A therapist/counselor, friend, family, support group (in person or online), call/chat with someone on the National Su***de Hotline or even send us a message for support and resources. From children to elders, you just never know what someone is going through.

The 2019 pageant winner and 30-year-old lawyer jumped from the 60-story Orion building at 350 W. 42nd St. around 7:15 a.m. and was found dead in the street below, sources said.

Kryst, who lived on the ninth floor of the building, was alone when she jumped and was last seen on a 29th-floor terrace, sources said.

A former Miss North Carolina, she won top honors at the 2019 Miss USA pageant, wearing a sparkly winged outfit for the National Costume competition, a nod to Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged BIrd Sings.”

Just hours before she jumped, Kryst wrote on her Instagram page, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”

She left behind a note saying she wanted to leave everything to her mother, sources said. The note didn’t include a motive for her actions, sources said.

“Not only beautiful but she was smart — she was a lawyer,” a police source said. “She has a life that anyone would be jealous of. … It’s so sad.
