Studio is about connecting with the client in a way that makes hair a deep friendship of practice.

As I design and finish my new project at my studio with my mind and hands I chose unique textures and a mix of lighting to create mood and experience. Art is a template and a way of the mind that applies to all things the mind and hands perform/create. Textures have always given me feelings quickly so these are giving a great feeling all day as I work inside my studio. If I can’t be outside looking at nature’s textures I will bring them inside such as stone, tree bark replicas, mineral surfaces etc.

We added a 3 stage VIRUS filtration system to our HVAC plus 2 air purifiers. So UVC light on the coils and 2 pre coil virus filters. Also 2 HEPA air purifiers cleaning/ pulling in all air through a total 5 filter system set up. Our lofts/studio/salon air is totally being swept each minute and second. Catching all virus and other particulates available in the air. This is an issue during this time for HVAC situations during this event for all spaces.

Attention! WE have been working 12-16hr days for the last 7 days getting ready for our (SAFE) RE-opening at our salon. Looks like the new target date is MAY 5th and forward. We will be working for non profit unfortunately due to all losses and safety investments put into place plus a much slower cautious work flow for human health safety. Yet atleast we will be able to work and hopefully take a small loss over the next year or two. The health of our clients and friends is more important to us and we love what we do for our career so we are very happy to be able to service our friends no matter the situation. Thank you all for your support through this very hard time. We were not able to receive EDIC or PPP or unemployment. And now we are investing a few thousand into salon safety construction and supplies/Protocols. We also will be working extra 2hrs a day total for opening and closing procedures. So not back to business as it use to be for all of us. Let’s all work together and keep each other safe and help provide solutions to our future relationship with this Corona Virus. All of our support is needed at this time and we look forward to working with all of our friends and community to do the right thing to help and return/overcome the COVID-19 experience.

It’s an amazing experience when a client (actress/writer) comes in 100% trusting and says what should we do with my hair that will bring about great change? And they also say I would like for you to do whatever you think would be best. I respond “please trust me fully to create something for you with your hair that will bring out who you are and reveal your inner power” If the client is open and willing the creative flow turns out magnificent and the transaction is a beautiful creation and success for the both of us.

We are in the busiest time of the year and would like to send out a reminder concerning appointment scheduling. Saturday is always a celebration in the hair industry. It’s our Friday! Thanks to all he incredible people who sat in our chairs this week. We had so much fun creating beauty, styles, and relationships!

Our bestie our friend/client Amy Mook transitioned after a strong warrior spirit facing the challenge of cancer. We spent so many beautiful moments with this lovely soul over many years. Today I ask that all of you say a prayer/mantra/send energy to her three daughters husband and entire family.
