There's a tendency especially when a wig is dry or dull to add more product.

More conditioner.
More oil.
More leave-in.
More shine spray.

But adding product on top of product without proper washing in between creates buildup that makes the wig heavier, duller, and harder to manage over time.

Less product, applied correctly, on a clean wig always outperforms more product on a neglected one.
