Klean Kutz & Stylez
Licensed Master Grooming Specialist
Today I was invited to the Georgia State Capitol for Barber Day to speak with state representatives, senators, and other officials about the impact barbers have in our communities.
As the founder of , it was an honor to have my voice heard and to share how our barbershops serve as more than places for grooming. Barbers wear many hats. We help people look good and feel good, but we also serve as mentors, listeners, and safe spaces for our communities.
During the discussion we spoke about the role barbers play in community building, networking opportunities, and local business development. I also highlighted the importance of increasing awareness around resources for business funding, including grants and financial opportunities that can help small business owners grow and sustain their businesses.
We also explored ways to bridge the gap between barbershops and mental health awareness, youth mentorship, and entrepreneurship programs.
From teaching young people about learning a trade to encouraging higher education and business ownership, the barbershop has always been a place where guidance, leadership, and opportunity begin.
Grateful for the opportunity to represent the barber industry and contribute to conversations that move our communities forward.
