The deeper I go, the more I realize how much I STILL don’t know.

And baby…there are LEVELS to this s**t.

You learn one thing, and it opens the door to ten more questions. Then you start looking at things you’ve believed, accepted and participated in your entire life completely differently.

And everybody isn’t on the same level of awareness. Some people haven’t started questioning yet. Some are just beginning. Some have been digging for years.

Me? I’m STILL learning. Still questioning. Still unlearning. And the more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know!

But here’s what I’ve discovered for myself:

Awareness hasn’t taken away my peace. I have more peace now than I’ve ever had. What it has taken away is some of my comfort.

Because once you see certain things differently, baby…you can’t just unsee them and go back to sleep.

So let me ask the question:

If you watched Part 1, you already know I walked away from my DeKalb County inspection with a 95/100.

So what cost me the other 5?

The guest artist working in my shop had her hair down and was wearing a watch. Two requirements I didn’t even know myself they would be checking for. I wear my watch all the time!

But here’s the part about being the owner: what’s happening inside your establishment ultimately falls back on YOU.

Lesson learned. Trust me, I know now! 😂

And just when I thought we were finished… they started talking about two invoices.

I wonder how many people would be living a COMPLETELY different life if nobody else had a say in it.

No family expectations.
No worrying about what people might think.
No comparing your life to what you see online.
No imaginary timeline telling you where you’re “supposed” to be by a certain age.

Just YOU deciding what feels right for YOUR life.

And here’s the crazy part…sometimes you don’t even realize how much outside influence has shaped your decisions until you finally start questioning them.

I think that’s where the real awakening begins.

Not when you change everything but when you finally realize you have a CHOICE.

So after watching this, I want you to really think about it:

If you could start over with a completely clean slate and nobody else had an opinion…what’s ONE thing you would choose differently?

She came in drawing her brows on every day. She already had a beautiful natural foundation, so my job wasn’t to give her somebody else’s brows.

It was to understand her natural hair flow, create the RIGHT shape for her face, and use Ombré Microshading to give her a soft, polished brow she doesn’t have to recreate every morning.

And baby…I ATE. Ain’t leave one crumb. 😂

But here’s the part I want my future brow artists to understand:

This is a SKILL.

The mapping.
The shaping.
The machine control.
The pressure.
The saturation.
Knowing when to keep working and when to STOP.

That’s the difference between simply owning a PMU machine and actually knowing how to create beautiful brows.

And this is exactly what I teach my trainees.

I don’t want you leaving my training with a certificate and still scared to touch somebody’s face. I want you to understand WHY you’re doing what you’re doing so you can confidently create your own transformations.

Last Friday, DeKalb County came out for my routine inspection at A Natural Beautie.

And this is the side of the beauty industry that people don’t always get to see.

They inspected my procedure room, certifications, infection-control procedures, pigment expiration dates, SOP’s, aftercare instructions, client documentation and facility requirements.

But here’s where it got interesting…

Because I have another independent beauty professionals who rent tables inside my establishment, her working area was inspected as well.

They reviewed her pigments, certifications and aftercare instructions and the inspector caught something in her aftercare that needed to be corrected.

Listen to what she explained in the video because this is exactly why I believe there’s more to being a professional than simply knowing how to perform a service.

You have to know how to operate properly too.

And here’s the crazy part…

That wasn’t even what cost me five points.

I finished my inspection with a 95/100.

I’ll tell y’all exactly how my 100 became a 95 in Part 2 because that was a lesson I wasn’t expecting.
