In this interview I speak on my journey being an entrepreneur as a professional makeup artist . The highs , the lows and the moments in between! I share about mentorship, growth and most importantly 5 things I wished someone told me when I started my business⬇️

1.When you think of an idea, start to execute! Procrastination will have you missing opportunities. Like the saying goes, “if you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready”.

2.You don’t have to do everything alone; it is okay to ask for help! You still have to do the work; however, guidance is so valuable. Looking to those that have achieved goals like the ones you want to achieve is a great way to prepare yourself for what is to come.

3.You don’t know everything, and that’s okay! Make sure to position yourself to be in the room where you are not at the top, so you can grow while listening to the wisdom of other successful people. Also make sure you surround yourself with like-minded individuals who want to grow and have big dreams just like you — this will make a huge difference.

4.Do something that you truly enjoy and are passionate about and do it FOR YOURSELF! When things get difficult, and they will on all fronts — emotionally, physically, mentally, and financially — it makes the hard times easier when you love what you do. Not to mention, when you’re happy to show up as your best daily, things run smoother.

5.Don’t get burnt out chasing what everyone else’s version of “success” looks like. Be true to you. Decide what success feels like and looks like for you and create your goals based on that. YOU’VE GOT THIS, so remember what it feels like when you don’t. Look how far you have come and KEEP GOING!
