Alumni All Star Trish Trowbridge – Cosmetology Class of 2008!
Trish is the Salon Owner & Stylist of Trish Trowbridge Hair Design! She loves keeping up with the latest trends by taking classes to further her hair knowledge!
Trish says her best high school memories are from cheerleading. She loved competing with her friends and fellow teammates!
When asked how her high school experience influenced your career path or further education choices, she said she knew from a young age that she wanted to pursue a career in cosmetology and was ecstatic to learn that she could attend Tri-County. Getting accepted was a dream come true for her. It gave her a head start by allowing her to begin accruing licensing hours in the cosmetology program at the age of 16. Trish was able to start working at a local salon as a receptionist by sophomore year and received her cosmetology license before graduating. After graduation, she immediately became a stylist and started her career behind the chair.
Trish says that she will forever be grateful for Tracie Osborne and Donna Flynn for making sure all their students were beyond prepared for the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology licensing test. It was a very long and challenging path to licensure, but they both equally prepared everyone for success!
The skills and knowledge Trish gained during her four years in the cosmetology program at Tri-County helped her pass the state boards at the age of 18, which significantly jump started her career. She has owned her own business for over a decade and is very grateful to Tri-County for setting her up for success!
Trish’s advice to current students: “I truly hope you follow your heart and choose the trade or job you feel passionate about. It makes such a difference to go to work and love your job!”
