This past month I celebrated 13 years being a licensed Cosmetologist!

I’m so grateful to be a part of an ever changing and evolving industry, keeping us hairstylist on our toes. We are basically forced into learning and growing in order to keep up with the times and trends.

Thankful for my OG clients that I’ve had since doing their hair in the kitchen at home to now in my own private suite🤍and thankful for all the continual new faces that I get to add to my amazing list of people that I get to spend time with on a daily basis!

How it works:

Here to remind you about a few key tips to keep your hair in the best shape possible this summer
☀️Protect your hair (scalp and skin) from the sun, wear a hat, and consider using a leave in product with SPF

☀️Limit your heat styling. Your hair is already being exposed to extra environmental damage. Just embrace that natural texture honey

☀️Regular hair washes- try as hard as your can to rinse your conditioner out in cold water. It seriously makes a huge difference to close that cuticle of the hair down and lock in that moisture

☀️Before swimming—>rinse and condition. Your hair is a sponge, so we want to fill those strands up first with clean water and either straight conditioner (don’t rinse out) or spray in an intended leave in conditioner.(especially important for blondes not wanting to be green)

☀️After swimming—> detox and moisturize.
After care is important! Chlorine and salt water are intense, they strip the hair and scalp of natural oils and need to be replenished. Use a clarifying shampoo (few times a month) and a moisturizing mask or deep treatment (repeat mask weekly)
