A pretty makeover to cure those rainy day blues💇‍♀️⛈

We took about 5 inches of grown out balyage and deepened her with a cool brown.

She wanted a a textured cut, with piecey layers so a razor cut was the perfect option!!👌

Had great conversation this morning with a new client about how moms, and women in general, sometimes neglect to treat themselves.

Had to share my latest experience👇👇👇😫

I had to watch a client leave the other day unhappy with her results after trying to break through years of black box dye...🖤🖤🖤

And I would have to say I was just as upset as her!! 💔My job is to make people feel great and look great, so when a lightening session doesnt go as hoped, I get really bummed! My livelihood depends on clients leaving, loving their hair transformations, and spreading the word!💞

This client (who is very sweet btw👼) had a thorough consult and knew it would be a process, unfortunately with box dye until you actually put lightener on the hair, you just dont know what the outcome will be...in this case we were not able to make much progress in this first session. We have rebooked for round 2 and I am excited to see this makeover happen for my sweet client...over time of course.⏰

Moral of the story: I get it...box color is inexpensive, convenient, and a quick fix. And some people will never have a problem using it...BUT...
Some people will loose 4 inches of hair, just sizzled and breaking off from chemical damage. ⚡
Some people will recieve sever burns to the scalp from an interaction between the harsh chemicals and a new medication.♨️
Some peoples hair will reject the color and end up looking like a funky shade of old meat and then need a $250 color correction(ps. This actually happened to me in college)🙋‍♀️
Some people will sit in a stylist chair for hours and watch while 3 professionals try to brainstorm a way to break through years of black box dye with minimal results.😩
All things I've seen happen in my career.

We aren't being jerky...we just get to see the other side of when things go wrong.😫

I am always very conscientious with clients time and budget restraints, so before making a leap to the light side please consider a few things...
