Just wanted to give you all a quick update 💛
I was really hoping to be back at work on May 1st, but my surgeon has recommended I start physical therapy first. PT won’t begin until May, so I’m not quite ready yet.
Because of this, I’ll need to reschedule all of my May appointments into June. I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause 🙏
Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support while I focus on healing properly. It means the world to me ❤️ I can’t wait to be back stronger and ready to take care of you all again! 💪
I’ll be reaching out personally to reschedule everyone. Please feel free to DM or text if you have any questions.
Sending love 💛🩷

The Beauty Bar Salon wouldn’t be here, wouldn’t be growing, and definitely wouldn’t feel like the warm, welcoming home it is—without YOUR incredible support, loyalty, and love.
You trust us with your hair, skin, nails and lashes your stories, your special moments, and your confidence—and that means the world to us. We appreciate you more than you know.

Happy Sunday, everyone! ☀️🙏 I kicked off this rainy day at Mosaic Church, and wow—the message on disciples and discipline was exactly what I needed. So good!
Now, let’s talk business as I head into my final weeks in the salon before my break. 💇♀️ My double-level cervical spine surgery is scheduled for January 30th—it’s coming up fast! 😅
I’d LOVE to see as many of you as possible before I go, so please give me as much notice as you can if you need to reschedule or cancel. It helps me fit everyone in! 🗓️❤️
Also, if you’re feeling under the weather at all—runny nose, fever, chills, cough, anything—please please cancel. 🤒 I absolutely cannot get sick right now, or my surgery could be postponed. As a self-employed stylist, delaying means big challenges, and I’m already nervous enough—I just want to get this over with and start healing! 🙏
This is my second spine surgery (first one was 18 years ago—I healed fast back then!). Right now, I’m planning to be back May 1st, but if recovery goes smoothly, I might return a bit sooner. Fingers crossed! 🤞
Thank you all for your understanding and support—it means the world. Can’t wait to see your beautiful faces these next few weeks! 💖✂️
See you soon! 🫶

A personal note to my incredible clients 💛
After a lot of tests, second opinions, and trying every non-surgical option, I’ve made the decision to have cervical spine surgery on January 30th.
A lot of you watched me fight through last year after I injured my elbow in that fall last December. What I didn’t share at the time is that the same fall also seriously injured my neck (multiple bulging discs and pinched nerves). I’ve been slowly losing feeling and strength in my left arm and both hands. If I don’t fix this now, the damage could become permanent.
So from January 28th through May 5th, I’ll be stepping away from the chair to heal.
This was an incredibly hard decision; doing your hair and being part of your lives is truly my happy place, but I want to make sure I can keep doing this for many more years to come.
Here’s what I’m doing for you right now:
• I’m packing my books solid before I leave so we can squeeze in one more visit (or two!) if you’d like.
• I already have May 6th and beyond open and I’m pre-booking return appointments now.
• I am currently looking to hire a new hair stylist. Miranda and Shanelle have a very limited schedule.
I am coming back. 100%. This is just a pause so I can come back stronger, with steady hands and all the feeling back in my fingers (and ready to make you all look and feel amazing again).
Thank you for trusting me with your hair and for being part of my little salon family. Your messages, hugs, and patience mean the world to me. I’ll keep you updated along the way, and I can’t wait to hug you all on the other side.
With so much love,
Tisha 💛🩷

A Quick Note on Little Guests ❤️
We adore children (truly!), but for everyone’s safety and comfort, children are welcome only if they have a scheduled appointment.
Our salon is full of sharp tools, hot styling equipment, chemicals, and delicate décor—none of which mix well with curious little hands or feet. To prevent accidents and keep the space calm and professional for all our guests, we kindly ask that non-appointed children stay home.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, relaxing environment—we can’t wait to pamper you (and your booked little ones)! 💇♀️✂️

Hello friends!! I’m super excited! 🎉 I believe I have my schedule planned well in advance! Schedule changes often take me 8-16 weeks to implement, so I can avoid rescheduling anyone, which is quite a challenge for me.
Starting August 12th, my new hours will be **9 AM to 3 PM sharp.** ⏰ Tuesday-Thursday . Every other Friday and Every other Saturday.9-3pm
I understand that not everyone may be able to see me during these hours; however, I have some lovely co-stylists who may be able to accommodate you! ✂️ For clients in the Colfax, Weimar, Applegate and above areas, I will have a few late afternoon accommodations available in the coming months. These details will be privately shared with you during our next appointment.
This shift in schedule is to support our daughter through her high school years. 💖 These are my last four years with Bella before she becomes an adult, and I believe they are the most important.
I hope this message is received well. It’s not intended to reduce my client base, but rather to focus on my family during this time. Thank you for understanding! Not forever, just for now 😊

Today, I was supposed to cut his hair, ✂️ but God had other plans for him and called him home before I could get one more haircut in. ☁️ You do not realize how close you become with your clients until this day comes. I had been cutting Jeff’s hair since 2002, when I purchased my first salon in Cedar Ridge. 🌲 He followed me to Colfax, and although I told him he didn’t have to follow me from Nevada City, he insisted: ‘No, I will follow.’ Even when I moved to Auburn, I thought for sure he would find somewhere else to go closer to home, 🏡 but no, he said, ‘I will follow you.’ I saw him faithfully every 4-5 weeks for many years. If I was sick or hurt, 🤒 he would wait it out, and once he went to a barber, he declared, ‘I’m never doing that again.’ We shared so much of our lives; he was so kind and gentle. 💙 One learns a great deal about people in my industry as they share their lives with you. As a hairstylist, it is challenging to maintain professional boundaries, and this often leads to the development of meaningful friendships. I feel deeply blessed to have had him as a client for as long as I did. Jeff, I will miss seeing you walk in with your Frappuccino ☕ and your hug at the end. Thank you for being loyal and kind to me🙏❤️🩹” May you rest in peace
