Meet Owner and Stylist, Kate Carey 👏🏼

Since 2007, Kate has been creating effortlessly beautiful hair — and for the past (almost) 3 years, she’s been the heart behind Daffodil Salon 🌼

As an Invisible Bead Extension Elite Artist, she is a color, blonding, and extension specialist. Known for her attention to detail and elevated touch, Kate is passionate about giving every client a true luxury experience from start to finish.

Outside the salon, Kate enjoys relaxing on her farm with her three boys — Owen, Sam, and Jesse — and their three dogs.

Whether she’s out for a run, shopping at Anthropologie, hunting, or listening to Dave Matthews, she brings that same grounded, vibrant energy into everything she does.

Meet Leighton Linder ❤️

Leighton Linder is a passionate hairstylist, specializing in blonding, vivid colors, and event hair and makeup—she truly loves a good transformation.

She is now accepting Saturday clients, making it even easier to get on her books. She is also accepting requests for weekday appointments.

In her free time, Leighton enjoys painting, shopping, and spending quality time with her cat and her grandma and friends!

Although Leighton has been apart of the daffodil team for quite some time, give her a warm welcome and be sure to check her out! 🤍

Meet Kara Stevenson💄💋

Kara Stevenson has always had a passion for makeup—if you know her, you know she loves all things beauty, and chances are, being around her will make you love it too.

After taking some time away, she’s back and ready to reintroduce herself as your next go-to makeup artist for all things beauty.

Her love for skincare and makeup started early—by the age of 14, her favorite Christmas gift was a basket filled with the latest beauty products. What began as an obsession quickly grew into a deeper pursuit. Determined to turn passion into a career, Kara immersed herself in books and articles on artistry, always wanting to learn more. With guidance from her dad, she chose to study the business side of beauty, earning a degree in Marketing Cosmetics and Fragrances from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

During her time in college, Kara began her career at Frederic Fekkai, a world-renowned hairstylist on 57th Street, where she worked with high-end clientele, completing their looks with flawless makeup applications. From there, she went on to work with major beauty brands including Estée Lauder, L’Oréal, Victoria’s Secret, and Coty, contributing to the creation and launch of makeup, haircare, skincare, and fragrance lines in New York City. She spent a decade living in Hoboken, NJ and Manhattan’s West Village, experiencing unforgettable moments in the city that never sleeps.

After 12 years in the corporate beauty world, Kara shifted her focus on her kids as a mother of three!

Today, Kara pours her passion into makeup artistry for all skin tones, offering makeup applications, masterclasses, one-on-one lessons, and writing beauty articles. She loves helping women of all ages feel confident and radiant—whether for everyday beauty or special events, including destination weddings.

With over 30 years of experience, Kara believes she’s just getting started. She’s excited for what’s ahead and ready to help others achieve the skin and makeup results they’ve always wanted.
