Winter is hanging on, and it’s still dark and gloomy, but there are lots of lush green plants starting to grow. 🌱
Comfrey, also known as knit-bone is dark green (this one has purple flowers) and fast growing. Medicinally it is most often used as a salve for, you guessed it, broken bones, bruises, and wounds. I use it in my garden by chopping off some of the leaves and mulching around struggling plants. It’s nutrient dense so as it breaks down it gently fertilizes and builds healthy soil. Healthy soil is the foundation of life in the garden, and managing the soil can reduce the need for synthetic fertilizer and pesticides thus reducing costs, encouraging sustainable growth, and increasing biodiversity.
While I’m working on the soil in the garden I’m also working on the soil of the salon. I don’t own a salon because I want to Be a salon owner, I own a salon because I am determined to have a life full of autonomy, and learning, and meaningful connections. Right now that means I’m learning about taxes (f**k taxes bro are you kidding me), payroll, and accounting, as well as some of the other foundational skills of business management. My nails feel very short, but it’s fine for now because I’m typing and gardening.

Personally I want to do hair for a long time; it took years to build ergonomic habits and I still have to mind my wrists. So if I ask you to scoot down, or stand up, or if I’m in a low lunge just know it’s so I can cut your hair for years to come. 😘
*disclaimer- if you ask me to do the splits at an appointment I’m gonna need 45 minutes to warm up first, and it has to be on a pants day

✨Announcement!!✨
On July 1st Krush The Look will be having price increases on hair services such as haircuts and color. Existing clients who pre-book appointments before July 1st have the opportunity to be locked into current service pricing through December 2025!
To keep up with increased cost of business and living some base prices will be seeing a 5-10% increase. As a thank you to everyone who has supported this business all appointments booked before July 1st will automatically be grandfathered into current base pricing.
New services such as nails, and add on services such as eyebrow waxing and scalp scrubs will not be increasing at this time, but don’t forget to add them to your appointments for convenience and comfort!

Three weeks after our first session it was time for session 2! The first session was all about removing the multiple red colors and creating a blonde canvas to work with! Session two was about marrying the bright blonde with her natural color and give her something long lasting and bright!
